Jurassic Park - T-Rex 1/12th Scale Maquette Statue. Elite Creature Collectibles have teamed up with Stan Winston Studio to bring the iconic T-Rex from Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park to their maquette collection, just in time for the 30th Anniversary of this cinematic classic! Premiering in June 1993, Jurassic Park became the highest-grossing film ever at the time. The film won over twenty awards and has been deemed culturally, historically and aesthetically significant enough for preservation in the United States National Film Registry. Jurassic Park's dinosaurs were designed by Stan Winston Studio and brought to life on-screen via a groundbreaking combination of full-size live-action animatronics by Stan Winston's team and computer-generated imagery by Industrial Light & Magic. They became a focal point of the film, with the T-Rex becoming "the star of the movie" according to director Steven Spielberg. To celebrate the anniversary of the film's release, Elite Creature Collectibles have crafted a 1/12 Scale Tyrannosaurus Rex in collaboration with key Stan Winston team members. With hands-on access to the Stan Winston Studios maquette used to provide proof of concept to Steven Spielberg and high-resolution 3D scanning, ILM artist Bitan faithfully recreated the original T-Rex from the movie. Measuring 45cm in hight, and a massive 100cm long, this incredibly detailed maquette is painted by Stan Winston Studio's Jurassic Park key artist Joey Orosco and ECC key artist Oksar Ankarudd. Featuring the T-Rex posed atop a diorama base with park map, this release has been cast in high-quality resin, with handmade glass eyes, capturing the intricacies of the original dino design.
